Behold the Power of Beer!

After a long workweek, what better way to welcome the weekend than a little – OK, a lot – of brewski? Go straight to the experts. BX Beer Depot (2964 Second Ave. N., Lake Worth) isn’t just a place to find hard-to-get microbrews like Boulder and Hazed & Infused, it also has all the ingredients and kits you need to start a home brewing laboratory (warning: You may never leave the house again.) It’s also well-known as the Mecca of beer tastings; this afternoon’s free sampling menu boasts the seasonal brews Dogfish Head “Punkin” Ale, Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale, Penn Brewery’s Oktoberfest, and Avery’s the Reverend Avery Salvation Ale. Shed those cubicle blues; the brew flows from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mmm, (free) beer. Call 561-965-9494, or visit www.bxbeerdepot.com.
