[To be read in the announcers voice from the Muppet Shows Pigs in Space segment.] Brought to you by the thought-provoking and well-rounded Culture Vultures organization, with input from our notable and national organization, NASA, and the amateur, yet serious, astronomer and NASA consultant, Dr. Carlos Hernandezzzzzzz! On Sunday our interesting and informed Dr. Hernandez will be discussing New Horizons, a spacecraft traveling to Pluto. Yes, Pluto, folks! Currently en route, our intrepid spacecraft has already played paparazzi to the gaseous and gigantic Jupiter. Dr. Hernandez will share these amazing pictures, as well as the inside scoop on the future plans for the crafts voyage, scheduled to arrive on Pluto in 2015. The program, New Horizons Journey to the Edge of the Solar System, takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. at your Southwest Regional Library (16835 Sheridan St., Pembroke Pines). Admission is free. Will Pluto retain its planetary status? Is Jupiter getting fat? Will New Horizons become star struck? Tune in next week on Culture in Spaaaaaace! Visit www.cvultures.com for more details.
