Walk Hard

Life’s certainly no party for the more than 6,000 folks living with Multiple Sclerosis in South Florida, but on Sunday many of us locals can help them out by raising money at the MS Walk. Walkers older than 17 are asked to raise a minimum of $50, which, as we all know, is significantly less than most of us spent on strippers and beer last night. Walkers raising $100 or more can also take home great prizes, instead of just a pair of sweaty socks. The route is a little over six miles long and all those who cross the finish line receive a certificate of completion. Tie on some kicks and head to George English Park (1101 Bayview Dr., Fort Lauderdale) for the 7:30 a.m. check-in and registration. Breakfast will be provided before the 9 a.m. start time, along with water and snacks en route. Call 954-731-4224, or visit www.walkfls.nationalmssociety.org.
