Audrey Tautou brings the charm in Priceless.

French chicks are cute. Maybe it’s the accent. Maybe it’s a certain je ne sais quoi, an intermingling of charming worldliness, quirky joie de vivre, and a seemingly wry acceptance of human imperfection. Whatever. They’re cute. And Audrey Tautou is one of the cutest. Best known in the U.S. for the surprise hit Amélie, Tautou’s most recent film is the romantic comedy Priceless. Tautou plays a sugar baby tangled in a kooky mix-up while trolling for daddies on the Riviera. Think Breakfast at Tiffany’s a la mode. It’s got chick flick written all over it – a French romantic comedy, for Pierre’s sake – but she’s so damn cute, even the toughest guys will be charmed. Add in Sunrise Cinema’s “world’s best popcorn,” and – voila! – it’s date night. Directed by Pierre Salvadori, Priceless opens tonight at Sunrise Cinemas Eleven (4321 NW 88th Ave., Sunrise).
