Heaven Just Got Dreamier

Guys never got it. They scoff at our dusty paperback copies of Valley of the Dolls, and doubly so at our coveted DVD collector reissues of the famous flick and its sequel. Sure, they don’t complain when we dress the part — lacy pinafores, beehives jacked higher than our Mary Janes, and liquid-lined eyes — but they can’t relate to the tortured tale of three powerful, but tragically doomed, women. (We still miss and love you, Sharon.)

It seems logical then that local promoter superstar Julie G is placing sole custody of the era into the hands of those who appreciate its magic: The Ladies. Yep, tonight the ultimate party exclusively for girls who like girls is exploding in a fluffy, teased, and high heeled pre-sleepover of female power at Heaven. Billed as “A night full of sexy lingerie, pillow talk, and catfights,” this bash showcases a crazy-hot retro pajama fashion show, two-for-one cocktails, and Heaven’s own XXX Go-Go Dancers. Praise Be! Of course, you’ll enjoy the party more if you dress the part — so do channel your inner Patty Duke, Barbara Perkins, or — sigh — Sharon Tate, and camp it up tonight at Purgatory (1000 W. SR 84, Fort Lauderdale). Call 954-357-4700, or visit myspace.com/allmixedupevents.com. Doors open at 10 p.m., and drink specials continue all night long.
