We all know that the softest, most sublime, and supple leather comes from Italy. Whether it's shoes, a jacket, skirt, pants, or even chaps, the Italians can make even the most loyal vegans want to wear it. And at Minimalista Furniture in the Gateway Shopping Plaza — where Sunrise Boulevard and Federal Highway converge/diverge — you'll want to strip off whatever you're wearing right there in front of the salespeople and the giant windows facing that busy intersection just to get as close as possible to the leather. Most everything in the elegantly and purposefully sparse showroom is featured in white and black — in true minimalist fashion. The prices aren't minimal, however. When you spend upward of $4,000 for that upscale leather sofa, can you really afford that extra end table?

We are waiting going on 8 months for a Italian leather sofa.We were just told 11/1/7 that it should reach the USA in fifteen days.This after paying in full in July-before the factory closes all of August- so it can be shipped and recieved for Sept.We have also ordered a table,chairs and end table in March and have yet heard word or received the items.The invoice amouint total $28,000 .And...they do not take Credit Cards.Unfortunately their furniture style and quality is the best in the Ft Laudedale area.If anyone has had similar experience -or positive-please e-mail .I will update when we do receive the goods or otherwise.Date:11/3/07

UPDATE:Our table ordered in May 2007 suddenly arrived. 11/21/07However after delivery we discovered it was the wrong table.We called the store twice and received no response.Our sofa-which was promised for Sept-.chairs,end table have yet to arrive.Date:11/25/07

Two night tables were ordered from the Nicoletti Showroom @ 1855 Griffin Rd. in Dania Fl. in April(Nicoletti parent co is Minimalista) Full payment was made in May when we were advised that they were ready to ship. In the past 9 months we have been
lied to and ignored by Mr. Joe Mirable and staff. We have sought repayment of funds through the courts in Broward County.

UPDATE:We finally received our sofa 1/21/08.In perfect condition .The end table also came in but was the wrong table.We still are waiting on four chairs ,the replacement end table and the replacement table.All were ordered 3/07.Phone calls and e-mails are not returned by the owner or staff.

UPDATE:We have been notified that the remainder of our furniture is in.This will complete the order placed .Keep in mind that also offered loaner table and chairs in the interim of our wait.They also were nice enough to allow us to switch chairs that happened to be on the floor and in which we liked more .They just arrived form the recent container delivery from Italy.We will update upon our final delivery.Date:4/17/08
