Running can be more than just exercise; it can be your therapy. But wait -- running can also be art? What a revelation! Started just two years ago, the Color Run and the elation that comes with it have already become one of the largest event series in the United States. We love it because there are no winners or official times getting in the way of your good time; it's the perfect way to end a race without feeling shitty about yourself. Known as "the happiest 5k on the planet," the Color Run has created a movement that is sprinting its way to Fort Lauderdale. The chilled-out run stays mellow, enforcing only one rule. Participants must wear white, but not the nice kind -- make sure you come fully prepared to be completely doused in color until you become a walking canvas. It's the ideal fun run for someone who hates running or a welcome diversion for serious runners. A different color is burst at each kilometer, guaranteeing you will come out looking way prettier than you did walking in. The Color Run Fort Lauderdale is Saturday, with check-in at 7:30 a.m. at Huizenga Plaza, at 1 E. Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.
