Every city should have its tea house; now Hoan Dang and Roger Tran have brought us ours. Based on successful tea houses in San Francisco, L.A., and New York, Dang and Tran serve exotic and delicate organic teas from around the world, perfectly brewed to maximize their subtle flavors, in a hip atmosphere: red walls, comfy couches, oversized elephant-ear plants. Sample China black teas like lichee congou, celons, whites, and oolongs, darjeelings and green teas like Chunme or Sencha Kyoto – or take them home, priced by the ounce. Beautiful flower teas are served in glass pots, so you can watch the petals slowly unfurl. A small selection of snacks and baked goods make this a terrific place to hang and a dreamy alternative to the bars across the street.
